What will I pay in total?
Add your WPShift subscription to the cost of the servers you choose. When you compare that against your current hosting, count the domains, extra storage and other services you use on both sides.
Use your own cloud account
Choose your provider, region and server size. The provider invoices you directly at their price, the server stays in your account, and WPShift adds nothing to that bill.
Or choose WPShift Cloud
Buy a server through WPShift and manage it in the same dashboard. The server and the software appear on one WPShift invoice. A WPShift Cloud server does not sit in a provider account of your own.

Connecting your own cloud account is the default and stays the default. If you would rather not run one, WPShift sells servers too: NVMe storage, provisioned into your workspace, billed on the same invoice as your plan. These servers are not in a provider account of your own, so the direct provider billing described above does not apply to them.

Server charges are additional to your WPShift plan and exclude VAT. The capacity a site needs depends on its traffic, its plugins and how it is built, so size the server against the workload rather than a site count.

Pricing questions
Does the free plan include a cloud server?
No. The free plan covers the WPShift software within its limits. Cloud infrastructure is billed separately, either by your own provider or by WPShift if you buy a WPShift Cloud server.
Can I host several sites on one server?
Yes, within your plan's site allowance and the server's available resources. A busy shop and a small business website need very different capacity, so the number of sites a server runs well varies.
Does WPShift add a fee to my cloud provider's bill?
No. For a server in your own provider account, the provider bills you directly at their price. WPShift Cloud is a separate option purchased through WPShift and billed by WPShift.
Are all features available on the free plan?
No. Staging, monitoring, role-based access and Copilot are among the features that vary by plan. The comparison table above lists what each plan includes.
Can I use my own backup storage?
Yes. WPShift can send backups to an S3-compatible storage account you control, in which case your storage provider bills you for it and the included backup storage is not used.
What happens at the end of the trial?
The trial covers the WPShift plan, not your infrastructure. Any server you created during it keeps running and keeps being billed, either by your provider for a server in your own account, or by WPShift for a WPShift Cloud server.
